Emulation of "I too", by Paola Jimenez

I, Too

I, too sing America
I am the other"race"
They see me as the lower class
When the superiors come
But I don't hesitate
I'm proud and healthy
I will grow strong

Tomorrow,
I'll have more privileges
When equality comes
The whole will doubt
of commanding me
"Leave the Country,"
Then.

Now, they'll see the similarities we share
And will feel sorry

I, too, am America

An American means to be a citizen from the US. I think it means you have freedom, that you have rights, not like others. You have many privileges. To be an American your not scared of being caught and sent back  to your country. It means that you're fearless of what can happen to you if you get stopped by a cop or your fearless of traveling far. Being an American means you can travel to another country and come back. Being American means you have more opportunities in life. It means that you can become someone in life. You can have a great job, well payed. Being American means you have the chance to be educated. The American is easy your not afraid of being separated by your family. It also means that you can communicate with your close family anytime you want. You can go visit them and not worry about not being able to come back home. The "American Life" is that your closer to your family and that you don't  miss your family because you can always visit them. Being an American means having power and having the chance to be a leader in your community. It means that you can be someone in life and give your family everything. the American Life is that we have evolved over time. The Americans have pride in themselves. The American Life is not supposed to be divided by race.
