To me this quote means when thinking you are having your own opinion. Having your own opinion makes who you are. Everyone is different and has different perspectives. Thinking is the only thing that cannot be faked. The only way that we know we exist is by thinking. If you look into a mirror it doesn't prove that you exist. The brain could be fooled very easily. Also when you propose a goal to achieve you just have to put your mind into it. You have to put your mind to your goals to achieve. Rene had the capability of thinking something in a intricate way . If he he had thought something in a complex way then it had to exist. The thoughts still come from us the individual and describes us as who we are.
